How to Use Your Crystals

Make yourself a brew and strap in. This is your newbie Crystal order Starter guide...

Crystals, incense, manifestation, meditation, sage etc could all be brand new to you. But please don’t worry, as it was once all new to me too.

1. Firstly, pick something that resonates with you. Whether it is something that looks beautiful to you, something you feel drawn to for whatever reason or something you have read the properties of and feel you need help in that area of your life.

It arrives in the post, it’s stunning – but what do I do now?

2. If its jewellery – start to wear it. Having the crystal touching your skin is going to programme that crystal to your intentions. What are you wanting to happen? What are your hopes and dreams? What are you wanting support with? When you put this piece of jewellery on, think about this.

3. If it’s a smaller crystal - stick in your back pocket, your purse, handbag, down your bra, jacket pocket – absolutely wherever you can (safely) carry it with you. Having the crystal close to your person is going to help set your intentions with this crystal.

4. If it’s a larger item or you wish to leave your crystal safe at home – place somewhere you will see it every day. Place somewhere like your bedside table or a chest of drawers in your bedroom, maybe a shelf in your bathroom, or a shelf in your living room or even a windowsill. Having the crystal in your view every day will strengthen your relationship with that crystal and will regularly programme the crystal to your intentions. This also bring positive energy to your home décor.

But, what do you mean by “Intentions”?

5. Intentions are what your goals/dreams/hopes/aspirations are. When you see the term “set your intentions” – This means exactly that, what are your intentions for your life, for this moment, what did you attain this crystal to help you with? Setting them means basically letting your crystal in on this hope or dream of yours.

How can you set an intention with a crystal?

6. Wear it, have it on you, have it near you as described above.

7. Meditate with it.

If you have never meditated before I recommend having a search on your Music apps or YouTube for a Guided Meditation. You can find Guided Meditations on lots of subjects. When you have found one you feel you can get on board with, ensure you have a quiet space and people know you are not to be disturbed. Give yourself some YOU time! I like to lie down when I meditate but you can sit down, do whatever feels right and comfortable for you. I like to use headphones as it feels more personal to me, but again, you do you. Stick the meditation on, hold the crystals in your hand or place them on the correlating Chakra that you need help with. Listen along to the meditation until the end or until you feel done. Really allow yourself to be submerged in it.

This will set your intentions with your crystal so it can best support you.

What are Chakras?

8. There are seven main chakras situated running through your body in line with the spine, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. Chakras are thought to provide subtle energy that helps your organs, mind, and intellect work at their best level.

So, for example, if you are seeking support with fertility, you could meditate lying down comfortably on your bed with a crystal placed on your sacral chakra (Swadhisthana) – It is in the lower abdomen about two inches below the naval and is the chakra to focus on when you are having fertility problems. Back to Crystals… how else can I use them?

9. You can charge them under moonlight to give them an extra boost from the Universe. Join my subscriber list to get Full Moon updates!

10. You can cleanse them of any negative energy with incense, light your favourite incense, stick some soft beach waves music on and use the smoke from the incense to cleanse your crystals.

11. You can use Sage to cleanse your crystals and home of any negative energy, this is called Smudging.

12. Use your crystals in Reiki, speak with a Reiki practitioner to gather insight if this would be suitable for you.

13. You can also create a Crystal Grid, basically place a bunch of your crystals together to all energize and strengthen each other. Have a look on Pinterest for some great ideas.

14. You can also add your crystals to your Altar.

I hope this helps you figure out what you want to do with your crystals, but I will say do whatever you feel is right, there is no wrong answer. Basically, interaction with your crystals is the key.
